~ The Christmas Promise ~

Upon a hill in Bethlehem
Round Mary, full of light
Husband Joseph right beside her
Anticipating a miraculous Holy night

Both awaiting the arrival
Of their precious unborn son
Gods promise to the both of them
That HE would be 'The One"

"The One" to save the world
From Satan's mighty grasp
To rid the world of Sin
That splintered hearts like glass

"The One" who would bear everything
For the likes of you, and I
A Holy babe named Jesus
From Gods right hand, in the sky

No bed to lay His head upon
No shelter from the cold
Just a lowly, wooden stable
A simple, yet humble abode


Somewhere in the distance
A brightly shining star
Guiding the way to Him
For the wisemen from afar

The world was changed forever
One special Christmas morn
Enough to last a lifetime
And keep us from the storm
