~ Christmas Rush ~

People rushing all around
On a shopping spree
Others working frantically
to decorate a tree

Mama's in the kitchen
mixing up some treats
To fill the Christmas table
With real good things to eat

Auntie's signing Christmas cards
And running out of time
I see her make an 'X' for Christ
Now that's not very kind

I wouldn't want to see a card
sent on my birthday
With an 'X' where my name should be
Don't know what I might say

I know it makes the Father sad
to watch His children here
too busy with so many things
To honor His Son so Dear
