~
Christmas
Time
~
It
wasn't
much
different
then
from
what
it
is
today
A
woman
holds
her
newborn
son
and
bows
her
head
and
prays
Thank
you
for
this
new
life,
ten
fingers
and
ten
toes
She
gazes
at
his
sleepy
face,
a
bond
between
them
grows
A
feeling
stirs
within
her
heart,
so
powerful,
so
warm
She
would
give
all
she
has
to
protect
her
child
from
harm
Mary
was
that
mother's
name
and
Jesus
was
her
son
Her
feelings
even
more
intense
as
she
held
"the
chosen
one"
No
downy
crib
to
lay
Him
in,
no
comfort
from
the
cold
but
the
brightest
star
there
ever
was
brought
others
to
behold
In
time
nails
would
pierce
His
hands
and
feet
so
fair
The
wooden
cross
would
hold
Him
high,
as
again
she
bowed
in
prayer
She
could
not
hold
Him
in
her
arms
as
she
did
in
days
of
old
for
He
left
to
prepare
a
place
for
us
with
streets
of
pure
gold
He
is
the
son
of
God,
but
born
just
like
any
other
He
gave
his
life
for
you
and
me
and
every
sister
and
brother
Our
job
is
not
so
different
now
than Mary's was that day
for
our
children
all
belong
to
God,
our
job
is
to
show
them
the
way
As
we
celebrate
Christmas
time,
remember the manger filled with straw
May
hearts
be
filled
with
joy,
as
He
was
born
and
died
for
us
all
