Christ's Suffering ~
When I think of the ways I've suffered,
All the tears I've cried,
I remember my Precious Savior
And the cross on which He died.
When I think of all the sad
and lonely tears I've shed,
I remember that night in Gethsemane
Hours before He was dead!

When I feel all the suffering
My body has gone through,
I recall that day on Calvary
Where He suffered for me and you!
Those nail pierced hands,
That crown of thorns
His spear thrust side
The robes, tattered and torn.
The blood He shed
The thirst endured.
The vinegar and gaul
They gladly poured.

If I must suffer
For even one day,
I'll gladly bear
Whatever I may.
For my suffering is nothing
My pain is so small,
Compared to the Man
Who died for us all!

And He withdrew about a stone's throw from them ,
and knelt down and
prayed,
Saying, "Father, if you are willing,
take this cup from me; yet not my
will, but Yours be done!"
Luke 22:41,42 (NIV)
