You've been blessed with this
quiet time
to share the love we need,
Because of all that life has sent,
You know just how to feed.
You may have lost some hearing
but you know the Shepherd's voice,
You hear His every murmur now
long ago you made that choice.
Your legs may amble slower
But you know which way to go,
Your heart knows of eternity
This faith you clearly show.
Your hands may be too weak to work
Sitting gently in your lap,
But depth of love within
Your heart can still unwrap.
Your eyesight may be blurry now
things lose their glittery shine,
But your rose colored glasses
make you see sublime.
Your heart may have a strange off beat
or pump too fast or slow,
But it sure skips up a pace
about heavenly love you know.
Now crowned with gentle grey of years
God says He will sustain,
The God who carried you this far
brings comfort in your pain.
He will carry you in weakness
nothing can make you die,
Your youth won't just be restored
He gives wings to fly.
I'm glad you gave your love to me
Then I can share it too,
God's love is one big circle
