While creeping through life's jungle
I came upon such a curious tree,
And looking on high I saw such wonder,
Whatever could it be.
So, I devised a plan
To call my loving friends,
And explore together all we could find
That life's mystery will send.
If we would fetch a ladder
And explore all that is on high,
Then in the secrets we discover
We will reach up to the sky.
While I am seeking to climb upward
To cherish this delight,
You are near to support me
With a helping hand in my plight.
And if I get all overloaded
With too much sweetness to bear,
I can pass it on to you
So all this loveliness we share.
And when I've had my turn above
Then you can climb up too,
And I will help you collect all the treasures
Waiting there for you.
Ah, such will be our pleasure
In this tree of life we've found,
There's plenty of delicious fruit for all
To turn our lives upside down.
How blessed we are to gather
In spirit at this heavenly tree,
Together in the love of our Lord Jesus
How glad we are to be.
