Cotton Candy Skies ~
by: Katheran Hill
I want for cotton candy skies,
Ponies of purple, gold and blue.
Slides made of a rainbow's arc.
Pixie dust and fairy wings, wishes all
too true.
Simple joys found in children' toys.
Comfort of "once", oh, in that magic
land.
I reach out to you,
here, take my hand.
The organ music teasing, calling.
Do we take the dare?
Is there time for playing?
This moment of time we can stop and
share.
Close your arms and hold on to me
I dream in colors bright and bold.
I will give you my eyes so that you
can see
what our future holds.
There is magic in our ordinary lives
As children are the first to know
...
Why then do we let this grow cold?
