I may not see you at Christmas
Though I may long so
For your heart,
I may have many others near
But I will not hear your happy laugh.
For of all that is most special
You should be here with me too,
When I am with dear ones I love
And celebrating all that's true.
So, when I decorate the table
I'll pretend to set a place for you,
And when I wrap my gifts
I'll imagine one for you-know-who.
Then in my mind I will place it there
A huggy bear beneath the tree,
And then I'll have you snuggled in my heart
Beary cozy, close to me.
