I am an early riser
I'm up at dawn's first light
You don't know what you're missing
So much to see that will delight.
So many animals rise at dawn
Not afraid to venture out
They greet the rising of the sun
As they scurry all about.
The birds are singing their morning song
And the sun is climbing into the sky
It's going to be a beautiful day
Wake up, don't stay inside.
The sun is peeking o'er the horizon
It's such a sight to see
The rays are reaching for the sky
Brightening up the day for you and me.
So get up with me this early morn
Let's watch the rising of the sun
We'll sip our coffee as the day begins
And we'll do what needs to be done.
