Dear Daughter ~
Dear daughter of mine,
you're such a delight,
and I'd even love you
if you were not mine....
For you have a spirit
that's gentle and true,
God richly blessed me
the day I had you.
Your sweet laughter echoes,
and wraps round my heart...
to tell you these feelings...
I know not where to start.
The girl that you were,
the woman you are....
I would not change a second...
I'm richer, by far...
Watching you grow,
in body and spirit...
so priceless to me..
I hardly can bear it.
The joy in my heart,
when I think of you....
overflows in my spirit...
colors all that I do.
And I could go on,
but I'd write a book....
may joy be a companion,
contentment, your nook.
Dear daughter of mine,
I love you deeply...
always unconditionally....
forever, completely.
