~ Don't Pass On By ~ I watch as you pass by my room Not listening as I call out to you I long for just a simple hello My visitors are too few. I'm up in years and my youth is gone I have no children of my own There's no one to come and visit me There's no one I can telephone. Oh how I would enjoy a visit Or someone to notice me I still have feelings and I'm still alive Just look at me, can't you see? I crave some company and tender words I need to know there's someone who cares Would you mind spending some time with me Would you have the courage - would you dare? Dare to make an old woman happy Dare to brighten my day Am I asking too much of a stranger Are you willing to go out of your way?
