EASTER
~*~
It
was
a
day
of
sorrow
when
for
me
my
Savior
died
Hanging
upon
that
cruel
cross
with
thieves
on
either
side.
His
hands
and
feet
with
nails
were
pierced
a
sword
driven
in
his
side
His
mother
kneeling
at
the
foot
of
the
cross
her
heart
was
broken,
Oh
how
she
cried.
But
from
the
cross
came
these
words
"
Forgive
them
Father
,
they
know
not
what
they
do
"
He
told
the
thieves
"This
day
with
me,
to
heaven
you
will
go
"
and
after
all
this
time
the
same
still
holds
true
for
me
and
you.
The
skies
grew
dark,
the
thunder
rolled
and
there
on
the
cross
he
died
A
friend
in
the
crowd
came
and
carried
Him
away
to
a
tomb
and
laid
him
inside
The
tomb
was
sealed
with
a
heavy
stone
and
three
days
later
He
arose
and
the
stone
was
rolled
away
And
because
of
this
our
Savior
lives
and
we
have
an
Easter
Day.
