I don't wish you parties or magical tricks
or bunnies or ducklings or soft fluffy chicks.
I don't wish you baskets with phony green grass
or bonnets with flowers or eggs that won't last.

I don't wish you new clothes to wear with false pride
or once a year church time or parades you can ride.
I don't wish you good thoughts that last just a day
or good deeds you do and then expect pay.

Instead, I would wish you the wisdom to see
What Creator's Son will continue to be,
The great living symbol of Creator's strong love
And the Source of His blessings that stream from above.

I would wish you the kindness to give and receive
The gift of true friendship and the hope to believe
That like the rising Sun of a bright new day
We too will rise up and follow The Way.

I would wish you Peace.
