~ Enchanted Garden ~

My dream of walking barefoot upon a sea of grass
I didn’t want to wake, I wanted to make this last
This garden seemed so different everywhere I looked
They hid their smiling faces in every little nook
These beautiful flowers smiled, and even seemed to chatter
I bent my head down to their faces, and it surely didn’t matter
Because by the time I got there it was a bit too late
They knew what I was up to, and all they did was wait
Hummingbirds were everywhere so gently in their grace
They seemed to understand the flowers, and knew their place
There is a language between the birds, bees and flowers
We are human and don’t really listen not even when it showers
Now I seemed to toss and turn in my sleep I felt like I was walking
My husband rose and shook me to tell me I was talking
