~ The Face Of Jesus ~

I have a great desire
As I wander along the way
I want to get a glimpse of Jesus
And hear Him speak as I pray

I want my heart to belong to Him
And nothing to take His place
My desire will always be
To one day see His face

That face where the agony showed
As He died on Calvary's hill
Will be replaced with a smile
No more pain He'll feel

So that great desire
That overwhelms me so
Causes me to read His Word
Then His will I'll know

So finally the day will come
My desire will be fulfilled
I'll dwell with Him in Glory
His face will be revealed

There pain will be no more
Joy and love will reign
We'll be in His new Heaven
Never to suffer again!
