~ A Feeling  For Christmas ~

Christmas will soon be upon us
It's a festive time of year
The children will want to see Santa
His sleigh and all his reindeers.

Everything is lit with beautiful lights
Most houses have a lovely tree
Presents are adorned with pretty bows
And children squeal with glee.

Shoppers converge on the stores
In search of the perfect gift
Everything is so beautiful
It gives your soul such a lift.

Carolers singing on the corner
Christmas music permeates the air
The smell of apples and cinnamon
It seems to be everywhere.

So much happiness is seen all around
So many people celebrate the day
Our God made all this possible
His son gave his life and paved our way.

This is what Christmas should be about
Not the decorations, the trees, the lights
Instead we should be celebrating
The birth of Christ on Christmas night.
