Following My Father's
Plan ~
I walked for so long in
the darkness
I stumbled in sorrow and
pain.
I searched for a source
of relief,
that I might be whole
once again.
I walked through the
valley of shadows,
finding only the shards
of lost souls.
I fell in my quest to
climb mountains,
finding grief that no
one could console.
Then a voice spoke to my
broken heart,
“My child, you are on
the wrong road,
be still, let your
Father guide you.
Have faith, He can carry
your load.”
From the darkness of my
despair,
I was shown the way to
the light;
and my soul rejoiced in
gladness,
I’d survived that long
endless night.
I’m now walking
with steps of a child,
as the Savior holds
tight to my hand,
I will never again walk
alone,
for I’m following my
Father’s plan.

Then spake Jesus
again unto them,
saying,
I am the light of the
world:
he that followeth me
shall not walk in
darkness,
but shall have
the
light of life.
