"WITH HONOR AND GLORY MAY SHE FOREVER WAVE"
"AT THE TWILIGHT'S LAST GLEAMING,"
she was actually born.
She flew with pride and glory,
although she was tattered and torn.
She became a symbol of honor and freedom, for a proud nation,
But now she fights her own people
and their desecration.
It's been a symbol for which,
around the world, many have yearned,
But in her homeland she's been allowed to be desecrated and irreverently burned.
She's flown for years with glory,
with dignity and with pride.
It's for our stars and our stripes
that many people have died.
It's more than cloth and colors
that above us is waved.
It's a trail of blood and sweat,
that men and women before us have paved.
She's been a sign of freedom,
of unity and more.
She's unfurled with honor and dignity
on many foreign shores.
The flag has a meaning, held in every part.
These should be burned into our minds
and etched in our hearts.
With honor and glory may she forever wave,
"O'ER THE LAND OF THE FREE AND THE HOME OF THE BRAVE."
