~ For My Grandparents ~

You have traveled down the longest trails
Uphill, downdale life's winding road
You cleverly drove each twisty byway
No matter the weight of your load

You filled your wagon with all your love
Only to give your hearts away
Your lives you lived, to bless us all
In all you do and say

With grit you journeyed on life's highway
The deepest valleys, passed on through
Climbed with skill each looming mountain
To share with us the view

And now, I'm glad that I joined in
The wagon trail you blazed along
God blessed my life, the day He chose
To you I would belong

May your days be filled with love always
