Grandpa, when I look at you
I wonder so about where you've been
Living all those many years on earth
And all you know within

You smile that very secret smile
And I know, you know so much
But, you just look at me with love
And somehow share your gentle touch

Thank you just for being there
For showing me how life can be lived
You teach me, in everything you do
And all you have to give

God bless you for your faithfulness
By arriving where you are, so true
You're an example I can walk behind
Thanks for being you
