~ Foster Mom ~

If only I had a home
As big as my heart, I'd say
Bring those children to me
Here's where they can stay.

I'll love them all the same
And I'll enjoy it all the while
My only pay would be
Just to see them smile.

I'd feed them things they like
Teach them how to bless their food
Give them all the hugs I can
Make them feel real good.

I'd be so happy loving them
They'd be my very own
No need to search any further
They would have a permanent home.

I know this is a dream
That often reoccurs
Because I was a foster mom
Who felt they all were hers!!

It's a very rewarding task
I was so proud to do
It just melts your heart
The way they look at you!!

They never ask for much
Just a home like everyone
They must feel they belong
While they are very young.

If you ever have this chance
To be a foster mom
Don't let it pass you by
When you've been called upon.

You never will regret it
It will be a fondest memory
In your heart and mind
Sweet little faces, you'll always see!
