~ I Hear The Fragile Robin Sing ~

As I sit outside to get some air
I see a red robin sitting in a tree
I believe she is singing to me.
Her red breast reminds me
How Jesus gave His blood
He is the one I know I love.
Thanksgiving will soon be here
I remember how my mother
Made the turkey and the beautiful meal
She did it for me,
Sweet memories I feel.
As the red robin sings a lullaby
I see days filled with mystery
I will remember my mother, who is in Heaven now
I could never forget her,
I would not know how.
I hear the music coming
From the red robin who sings
Of beauty I have known and the love it brings,
Thanksgiving is so special for me I know
It was when God brought me to earth, to grow.
If I did not sit outside today,
The red robin may have gone away
Then I would be sad
And forget I was not alone always.
Jesus sent this beautiful bird with a song
To remind me of my mother's love, so long ago
I will sing with the red robin a lovely song
I will remember
Though fragile,
My life must continue to go on.
