~ A Friend To Me ~
In what way does friendship affect me
How much does it really mean
To answer all that I have to say
It is what gets me through my day
Without a friend when times are bad
How would I keep from being sad
Then when times are at their best
I would not know I had been blessed
When I have a good joke to share
There would be no laughter there
How would I be able to gauge my worth
If there was no one to hear my words
Friendship is what makes me whole
To help me in setting my future goals
Letting me learn from my mistakes
And giving me the strength it takes
It is love, trust, and a lot of care
To know that someone is always there
The people that care how I do
And my friend.... that is truly you.
