Thanksgiving Day, my favorite time,
To recall what our God has done.
Discovering new friends and
remembering, too,
All the times of joy and fun.
When family and friends come
together,
In the peace God’s love provides,
He reveals to us the Fruits of the
Word,
And how it reaches out far and wide.
The memories of all of our
yesterdays,
And loved ones that have gone
before.
The bounty of food at our table
today,
That Mom so lovingly prepared once
more.
The blessings that come from the
fruits of the Word,
Have been given to teach us to
share,
Like a treasure He sent to bestow
upon us,
His loving and infinite care.
The fruits of the Word are love and
joy.
There is peace and longsuffering to
learn,
And the gentleness, goodness and our
faith in Him,
We glean from each page that we
turn.
The meekness and temperance of
Jesus,
Are not common in those that we
know.
Let us gather the fruits of his word
everyday,
They will teach us good things as we
go.
May the fruits of His word bring you
bounty,
As warm wishes enter your house from
mine.
Join us in praise to the Ancient of
Days,
And enjoy Thanksgiving Day all the
time.
