Gifts

There are gifts you can wrap
and gifts that make you want a nap
Gifts that are expensive and some that are cheap
I have none of the above to give you my friend

But these are for you to keep...
I give you my love always true
My friendship too,
Yes it will be there for you
A shoulder to cry on
When life's dreams are bygone
A hand to hold when nights are long and cold
Memories to reminisce when we grow old

Together in friendship we'll share these years
A smile for your lips and a kiss
to take away life's tears
Some gifts you just can't wrap
