~ Give Your
Burdens To Jesus ~
I took my burdens to the Lord
But failed to leave them there
You see I picked them up again
That brought me more despair
Oh foolish flesh how quickly
Thy habits do return
We give it all to Jesus
But still we do not learn
To leave our trouble in His care
And learn to lean on Him
When we have surrendered all
We'll never pick them up again
If we are to serve Him
Our cares must be discarded
Leave them at the Master's feet
And on His path get started
Walking in the light He sheds
Upon the path that's trod
Never looking back again
Til we're safe at home with God
So take your burdens to the Lord
Be sure to leave them there
Your life will be so happy
Living it, in Jesus care!
