As the sun shone on
the dawn
I awoke with such
delight
Today, 'twas as another day
After the rest of night
But, a day to see what may unfold
As in the beauty of the morning
I felt a sparkle in my heart
A little touch of glory
Of all the Lord may soon impart
The many blessings in my view
The untold gifts of life and love
And especially of you
And all that we have shared
To help me see each day I live
Is a glorious day to treasure
To cherish as a gift
With each day filled with the glory
Of your gentle tenderness
I thank God for our friendship
That He has sweetly blessed
