~ God's Gift To Me ~
God saw how lonely I was
So He gave me someone I can call
My very special friend
One who can truly love my soul
I am forever grateful
For my friend is very kind
She understands my heart
And knows just what to say
God gave her to me
As a friend for every day
God's gift to me was of the rainbow
Her heart the butterfly
I will remember her forever
In this world there is always her and I
I see her in the clouds
And in the grass and trees
I see her in the flowers
For My God made all of these
With my friend, I smell the oceans
I hear birds that sing on high
How can I thank you Jesus
For blessing me so kind
My friend means everything to me
Now I am happy, as we touch the sky
A gift was sent, by the love of God
My heart flies like a butterfly.
