Autumn is the
time of year
Spectrum colors do appear
Wind hurling leaves around
Red, purple, gold surround
Natures ready for her rest
Pretty birds fly southwest
Squirrels scamper here and there
Autumns change they’re quite aware
Our days are filled with clouds
At the pool no more crowds
It rains and dampens the earth
And stores until spring’s rebirth
Autumn has a chill in the air
Warmer clothing we will wear
Frothy wet dew upon the grass
Just then a deer did pass
So early in the morning
Her new fawn she was guarding
It’s surprising what you’ll see
Just take a walk and you’ll agree
That each new season has a view
All have worth and true value
