~ Golden Glow ~

Someone flicked the switch,
And light dispelled the dark,
As the glow of morning
Over came the night.

In you I saw the dawning
As you let eternity inside,
Just like a stained glass window
Glows with purest light behind.

To banish cold we are attracted
To a fire glowing warm,
So my heart knows where to go
As to your joy I'm drawn.

You opened up your heart
And God's truth became your guide,
So your life shines forth a beauty
Of treasure to be mined.

Like a diamond cut to shape
Reflects intrinsic light,
So the promises of God in you
Are such a wondrous sight.

When you let the Lord invade your soul
I thanked Him for His gift,
Of your light and life and warmth
From the tender love you give.
