~ Goodness From Heaven ~

Candies and sweets aren't always good
Veggies and fruit, meat and potatoes
We know we can eat the sweets

Because we could
But they aren't as valuable
As beans and tomatoes
We learn to live and grow

Because our parents taught us so
Taking advice from Mom and Dad
Is the best learning we could have
We can help Mom in the kitchen
Knead the dough she made
Parents also teach us to learn
And work and save

Thank you dear Lord for our parents
with love
You sent them from heaven
from far above
