~ The Good Shepherd's Heart ~
Sometimes we
wish they'd go away
Those foibles that we have,
And the weaknesses, the frailties
That we see another has.
But, it is only those tender little things
That draw us near in soul,
If we can share this innocence
And support each other in the whole.
For then we smile in deep compassion
And ask the Shepherd for the gift of deeper
love,
To listen with His gentle heart
Then speak His kindness from above.
In pausing to see a lambkins inner beauty
We will find treasures we have never known,
And if we are very still and listen
Those gifts become our own.
As we take the time to humbly sit
At the feet of little ones upon the Shepherd's
path,
We draw such sweetness from their understanding
And are enriched within our heart.

Lord
Jesus, in my weakness,
hold me close,
That I may hear other little lambs
crying for Your love.
