Grandma

 
You left us a year ago for a better place.
You never realized how very much
your leaving would effect me.

You lived on earth a long, long time.
You never complained,
no matter what life brought your way.



You gave me love and laughter, memories to cling to.
You gave me music in a voice off-key,
with love flowing out more beautiful than birds.

You always believed in me, even when I didn't have faith in myself.
You showed me unconditional love.
You knew I could achieve great things.



Life brought you pain, yet you taught us to love life,
and never worry about tomorrow.
You reveled in each day on earth.

God finally took you home to be with him.
You now have wings and a new young body
to match your spirit.



I love you and I miss you!
