Happy Holidays Ever After ~
Are you sort of glad or sad
That Christmas time is done,
As you relax to savor and
reminisce
On all the days of fun.
Slowly fold up the pretty
paper
It's roll up the sparkly
tinsel time,
Pack away the baubles and
shining star
A stray candy cane to find.
Let the kitty play in the
tree today
And snuggle into an empty
boot,
It doesn't matter now if she
makes a mess
While trying to be cute.
Nibble at the left over
cookies
Put your feet up and enjoy a
cup of tea,
Then go jog on the walking
machine
To work off those Christmas
treats.
All the while thanking Jesus
for His special birthday
In coming to die for our
sin,
So ever after, if we look
every day, in secret little
nooks
We will find His tender
heart-prints.
His love, joy and peace
written in Christmas ink.

And, I believe, He still is.
Amazed in His presence...
humbled by His love.
Amen, He still is.
Love so easily understands
What you can see is the
smallest part;
You don't need Christmas in
your hands
When you have Christmas in
your heart.
