Did you ever hear a whippoorwill
He sounds too blue to even cry
Or ever listened to a robin's song
As he sits perched in trees so high.
Have you listened to a train whistle
Somewhere in the far off distance
Or listened to the little katydid
In the morning dew that glistens.
Have you ever heard a newborn's cry
In it's tiny little voice that squeaks
Or listened to a little child's laughter
That sounds so innocent and sweet.
Have you ever listened closely to God
As He may have called your name
Did you hear Him say He loves you
And with Him beside you, your life would change.
