~ A Heavy Heart ~

With a heavy heart, I kneel to pray
My mind is troubled, so much to say
People suffering, why is this so?
I ask these questions, I want to know.

So much is wrong, things are amiss
Will we continually, be put through this?
Trials and tribulations, is that our lot?
War and strife, is what we got.

What should we do, to change it around
Love has disappeared, this I've found
No more fellowship, no one cares
Our hearts are broken, our souls are bared.

Help us Lord, to see the light
Show us mercy, we'll make it right
In the past, we didn't learn
A passage to Heaven, we must earn.

Each day we're appalled, at what we see
Children killing children, it's hard to believe
On bended knee, these prayers I ascend
Forgive us Father, for we have sinned.
