He Had No Blame

Easter came, and Easter went,
And was our time at all well spent?
Did we 'sense' Jesus on that tree?
Did we think about His loyalty,
To His Holy Father's Name?
He died for sin, but had no blame.

It was for us He suffered so,
For us, He to that cross must go.
That Friday was a day of dearth,
When His pure blood fell to the earth.
And, in His Holy Father's Name,
He died for sin, but had no blame.

This Jesus, of sweet Mary's womb,
Was laid in that cold, darkest tomb.
A stone was placed in front, so tight,
So none could steal Him in the night.
And, for His Holy Father's Name,
He died for sin, but had no blame.

His Mother found the stone had gone,
As vict'ry over death He'd won.
He had arisen ..... as He'd said.
For each of us our Lord had bled.
And, at His Holy Father's side,
Our loving Savior will abide.

To reign in splendor is His right.
While angels gather in His sight.
Let Jesus teach us all the way,
And we shall dwell with Him one day.
And, in His Holy Father's Name,
We too will stand, all cleansed of blame.
