~ Home, At Last ~
I've traveled in so many lands,
To work as I was trained,
And all the time was searching
To fulfill desires ingrained.
Through many years I wandered
From shore to distant shore,
Then simply gave up looking.
(I still didn't know what for.)
Then in a tiny country Church,
Where my girl so often went,
I heard the voice of Jesus,
And I suddenly felt content.
I hadn't needed to go so far,
He'd been standing next to me,
But, 'til then, I didn't know Him,
And He'd come to set me free!
Last year I started searching,
For where I'd serve Him best,
Now I'm moving to my new home,
And in Him can safely rest.
