~ Honor Them ~

As we give thanks for what we have
Let's not forget the ones who are afar
Who are fighting for our honor and our country
Fighting to protect who we are.

They fight for our rights and freedom
They are so very tired and all alone
Away from family and loved ones
They take a stand, they are so strong.

They will fight til their dying breath
If that is what the future may be
They will always be ready to march
Protecting people such as you and me.

So on every day of the new year
Won't you please honor them in prayer
Let us stand together hand in hand
And show our troops we really care
