~ How We
Would Answer ~
I wonder how we would answer
If God were to ask any one of us
What did you do for someone today
So they knew in you they could trust?
Would we stand in silence and awe
Not being able to tell Him the truth
Or would we hold our heads up high
And say Lord I try to be just like You.
I give to all my friends and family
Without having to be asked at all
If I know a friend has a special need
I am there for them when they call.
Or would we all answer, Oh Lord God
I have only thought of myself today
I turned my back on a dear sweet friend
Who needed my help and asked me to pray.
I do not know how I would answer this
But I know I hope that I can be to you
The best kind of friend I know how
And be here when you may turn to me too.
