~ I Asked God ~

One day I prayed to God
And I asked Him for a friend
But He not only sent me one
He sent me ten times ten.

We may share a smile or two
And we share a caring word
We send some pretty pictures
And not a bad remark is ever heard.

We may share some silly jokes
Or maybe a true story or two
We share with each other in prayer
What we have is special for me and you.

I would not trade a one of you
For all the riches in this Universe
Because I have the best there is
And on you I can place a true worth.

Yes God answered my one request
And He sent me so many dear friends
And I hope we can continue to share
Until the Father calls us all home again.
