~ If I Could Give You Spring ~

If I could, I would pass to
you, the early flush of spring,
To bless your spirit with
an everlasting gift
of loveliness,
for you to
brush against your cheek.

If I could, I would pass on
a sunset's glow
to touch your hand
with all the warmth that it imparts,
The dew of morning
tender, cool
to please the soul of you.

If I could, I would pass into
your heart, the gift of unending love
to keep for all you've done,
The colors of the rainbow
to overflow
your world
with the carousel of fun.

If I could, I would, pass your way
and sprinkle
all about you,
God's joy and peaceful delight
to fill you every day
with the love of everlasting friendship
just as you would like.
