~ If We Could See ~

If only we could see a child
Through the eyes of our God
I wonder what would we see
Would the world all be proud?

Would they all be tiny images
Of The Lord in Heaven above
Would they look like you and me
Would they fill our souls with love.

Would we see the innocence that He sees
And the gentleness of their tiny souls
Would we see their tender little hearts
Or the way they treat other girls and boys.

Could we see their tiny imaginations
Or how they play together so easily
Would we stop and listen closely
To what they are teaching you and me.

Yes, if only we could see the little ones
The way that God's eyes see each of them.
I wonder if the world would really learn
Their true tenderness and love
