If, you ever touch a rose
Of velvet to your cheek
Then know softness is the only place-
Our hearts will always meet
If, you ever feel a flutter
of sweetness so divine
Then believe that you are feeling-
the same delight as I
If, you ever see the wonder
of white clouds that float on by
Then know that you are seeing-
the same heavenly sky as I
If, you ever hear God's whisper
e'er so gently cry
Then listen closely, for you're hearing-
the same true words as I
If, you ever reach so gently
where loving yet abides
Then that is where we are forever-
together you and I
If, you ever wander chatting
with someone at your side
Then maybe that sweet conversation-
Is one 'tween you and I
