~ I Journal Days Gone By ~
I ponder as I
journal, am I a chosen one
Though I was
natural born,
I may have grown
inside a womb
But being adopted
was my life chosen, the more.
While all babies
arrive in a natural birth
Some have such
a special call,
For, no matter
where I was nestled
I am made within
to be, a precious me.
God formed me and
put my soul in place,
I am kept, I am
His,
He holds me close
within His arms,
And in His love I
rest.
I hurt so long
that my birth mother
Didn't have
the support to be the one,
To raise me to
adulthood
How heartbroken
she must have been
To give away what
her love had done.
But now I've come
to wonder
Is that beginning all that makes
me complete,
For God chose
another beautiful home of love
And a place where
He and I could meet.
All so I would
deeply search and find
His heart so
secure to see,
For now in
discovering Him as my real Father
I know my birth is
so special because
I am safe, I am
loved, eternally.
For
You
created my inmost being,
You
knit me together in my mothers
womb,
I praise You for I
am fearfully and wonderfully made,
Your works are
wonderful, I know that full well.
My frame was not
hidden from You
when I was made in
the secret place.
When I was woven
together in the depths of the
earth,
Your eyes saw my
unformed body.
ALL the days
ordained for me
were written in
Your book
before one of them
came to be.
How precious to me,
are Your thoughts Oh God!
How vast is the sum
of them.
Were I to count
them,
they would out number the
grains of sand
When I awake I am
still with You.
