My Sister Friend ~
I can barely wait to say hello
To pop in for a visit,
Just to say that you are special
And send a cuddle with it.
Soon as the sun starts grinning
I scramble out of bed,
To go straight to my PC
Just to see what you have sent.
 
And when the day is done
I shut down every window,
And whisper my good night to you
As off to bed I go.
Sometimes I lay awake in thought
Of all that I may say,
About things that are a ponder
How life will be each day.
I pray we keep our cheeky smiles
With troubles all about,
For if God's got everything in place
We'll trust His plan is turning out.
There's a bunch to know... tomorrow
Where you will be, my special friend,
Sharing, caring the best of buds
With so much love to send.

Oh, the comfort—the inexpressible comfort of feeling safe with a person
—having neither to weigh thoughts nor measure words,
but pouring them all right out, just as they are,
chaff and grain together; certain that a faithful hand will take and sift them,
keep what is worth keeping what is worth keeping,
and then with the breath of kindness blow the rest away.
