I made a
promise
not so
long ago
To someone
I love,
who dearly
cared
I made a
promise,
that
wherever I
go
I will
make it,
in the
life I
know
I made a
promise
And God
answered
my prayer
I promised
someone
very dear,
I would
make it
through
the years
I made a
promise
With tears
I tried to
hide
That like
a breath
of wind
I will
fly.... as
if I am a
butterfly
I made a
promise
To the
leaves
softly
blowing in
the trees
I would
touch the
stars and
feel the
ocean
breeze
Smell the
flowers
and the
earth
I promised
I would
make it
So our two
hearts
will see
All things
in
eternity
