~ I'm Thankful ~

I want to thank you blessed Lord
On this Thanksgiving Day
For all you've done to keep us free
In this land of the USA

I thank you for the Pilgrims
For the Founding Fathers too
That they declared this country free
Dedicated this land to you

I thank you for sacrifices made
By those who protect us too
As they fight with all their might
Protecting the red, white, and blue

Thank you now that we are free
Lord, to worship as we choose
To read your word and go to church
And tell others all about you

Thank you for our leaders
Please guide them by your hand
And help us to be thankful for
Our nation so strong and grand

Now we seek you first Oh God
And giving thanks again
We know all else is added to us
As we hold tightly to your hand
