My prayers were said last night
And you where in them
You may wonder why that is so
But I love you and want God
To watch over you and yours

I thanked him for your friendship
As well as your love and respect
But I also asked him to watch you
And make your life better to live
With no strife or heartache to bear

So tonight when I go to bed again
I will pray for you as before
And ask him to keep you safe
So we can chat again and again
And will have a friendship that never ends
