~ In the Stillness ~

In the stillness of a summer day
God takes my very breath away
He reaches down, and soothes my soul
Remembering my sin no more

In the stillness of autumn's breeze
God hears, and waits, and always sees
The very heart of everyone
And He lifts me up till day is done

In the stillness of a quiet night
God shows He's near, with Heaven's light
The stars all twinkle to remind
God's care for me, is loving kind

In the stillness of our life
God will hear us in our strife
When we listen, God will speak
To every soul, if we but seek

In the stillness of our last day
God sends Angels, to carry us away
With gentleness, they deliver us home
To God in Heaven, where we're never alone
